The Flute on its Feet
A virtuoso solo program combining classics of the flute repertoire (including Debussy’s evocative Syrinx, JS Bach’s beautiful Partita in A minor, Edgard Varese’s epoch-making Density 21.5), with dance and story elements.

Some Enchanted Evening
A flute and piano recital, featuring well known works such as the Griffes Poem, JS Bach’s Partita in A minor for solo flute, as well as more recent masterworks.
FLUTE AND PERCUSSION
Paul Fadoul/Zara Lawler: flute and percussion duo
Lawler collaborates with percussion partner Paul J. Fadoul on this engaging and dynamic program of new and older works. The program is built around dance-inspired pieces, including Astor Piazolla’s Histoire Du Tango, Ravel’s beautiful Piece en forme d’Habanera, and JS Bach’s Sonata in C Major.

Asterisk
Lawler is a founding member of the innovative quartet Asterisk, currently offering Poetic License, a program of solo and ensemble pieces that use text, staging and choreography. With works ranging from intimate to expansive, meditative to slapstick, and profound to quirky, these uniquely talented musicians make new connections to other artistic disciplines and to their audiences.
