    • Symmetrical Lives:  a site-specific music and movement installation of an innovative production of J. S. Bach’s beloved Orchestral Suite in B Minor. The music is performed by flute soloist Zara Lawler and violin soloist Maja Cerar who both dance and play at the same time, accompanied by string trio (Rebecca Fischer, violin; Colin Brookes, viola; Alexis Gerlach, cello).

    • Zara performed Julia Wolfe’s Oxygen in an ensemble of 140 flutists (!!!), a memorial concert in honor of New York flutist extraordinaire Paul Dunkel, and lead events in the Flute Olympics and a flute flash mob playing her arrangement of Music Alone on Youth Flute Day.

    • Talking of Michelangelo: composer Jonathan Howard Katz hosts a LIVE IN-PERSON concert of his music, featuring many guests including Periapsis Music and Dance.  It will also be the world premiere of his Facade No. 1, with choreography by Zara Lawler, created for flutist Annie Nikunen.
    • This program was made possible by the New York City Artist Corps. Attendance is free, but registration is required, and COVID protocols will be in place. Proof of vaccination is necessary for entrance to the building.
